BTTS asks one question of a match: does each side score at least one goal? It does not matter who wins or what the final scoreline is.
BTTS Yes settles when both teams score — 2-1, 3-3 and 1-1 all count. BTTS No settles when at least one side draws a blank, which covers clean sheets and 0-0. Goals in extra time or a shootout usually do not count; most bookmakers settle on 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Attacking strength and chance quality on both sides, defensive records and clean-sheet rates, the scoring culture of the league, absences among the key attackers or defenders, and match state — a side that falls behind pushes forward and opens the game up. BTTS rates also differ markedly between competitions.
We start by estimating the goals each side is expected to score, from recent performances, the quality of the opposition faced and whether the team is at home or away. Those figures give the chance of each team scoring at least once, and the two combine into a BTTS number for the fixture. The model refits on the latest match data, so the figure reflects current form rather than a stale historical average. A probability is not a tip. 18+, and please gamble responsibly.
